Hello friends, today I am going to tell you what is Pascal’s Law, Pascal law definition, pascal law formula,Pascal’s Principle, Diagram of Pascal’s Law, Uses of Pascal’s Law, what is definition pascal law:If you also want to know, then keep reading this article completely.
what is Pascal’s Law
According to Pascal’s Law, if a liquid kept in a vessel is stationary, then the pressure of the liquid at any point inside the liquid is the same in all directions.
Let ABC be a small triangular portion of a liquid whose thickness is t and P, P, and P are the pressures acting on all three surfaces. Since the liquid is stationary, the triangular portion of the liquid will also be in equilibrium (without any external force). Let its weight be negligible because the fraction is very small. Due to the equilibrium, the algebraic sum of all the forces in the horizontal and vertical directions will be zero.
(1) in the horizontal direction
(ii) in the vertical direction
From Equation (1) and Equation (2)
This proves that the pressure at any point of a liquid is the same in all directions.
It is also called mechanical advantage
On this principle, various hydraulic machines like hydraulic press, hydraulic lift and hydraulic crane etc. work.
Example based on Pascal’s law-
(i) Hydraulic Jack (ii) Hydraulic Crane
(iii) Hydraulic Brake (iv) Hydraulic Lift
(v) Hydraulic Press (vi) Hydraulic Brahma Press
